The Pecos River runs through Carlsbad, New Mexico, and creates a very unique setting. The city has done a marvelous job of developing the riverwalk for the enjoyment of the public. I have discovered some fascinating scenes during the twilight & midnight hours, when the air is very still and the water like glass.
