My name is Brad Molgaard and as you browse my web site, you will discover it contains galleries of my fine art photography as well as showcases my professional quality portraiture. All of my fine art images can be purchased with professional printing on this site by Bay Photo of Santa Cruz, California, of whom I trust for the finest quality.
When selecting an image to print using the "Buy" button above and to the right of the large image window, you will find that many are a standard size, such as 8x10, 11x14, 12x16, and 16x20, and so on. The “standard sizes” tab will display these sizes up to 30x40 inches. A number of my images were created as modest to wide panoramas. If you desire such an image, note the “other sizes” or “panoramic sizes” tab will display these. The “square sizes” tab will display 5x5 to 30x30 inches for those images I have created in a square format. Some may desire the look of a painting, for this, I recommend choosing a print on canvas. The “Canvas tab” is for such a fine-art presentation. “Thin Wraps tab” are for photos wrapped on Gatorboard. For a contemporary presentation, select the “Metal tab” for printing on aluminum.
Gifts and collectibles may be created by selecting the “Merchandise” tab. This will display a variety of items that images can be printed on such as a keepsake box, beverage mug, photo puzzle, coasters, T-shirts, mouse pad, and so on. In such a way, the gift can truly be personalized!

In portraiture, my goal is to create photos that reflect the unique personality of each client. All of my photo sessions are done on location of the client’s choice, which could be an outdoor setting, home, or other. As a photographer and artist, my philosophy and style is to capture a natural look and also create special effects to give your portrait collection both qualities.
Individual & Couple Portraits: A 1 hour photo session is $50.00. The session can include two or three different locations as long as we can remain within the time frame.
Family Portraits: A photo session of a family usually takes more time creating each setting. A 1-1/2 hour session is $90.00. A photo session of multiple family groupings usually requires additional time. A two hour session is $150.00.
Senior Portraits: Graduating from high school is a special time in one's life and creating that special individual style for the senior is very important. I want to give the graduate liberty of clothing changes and more than one location. A photo session of up to 1-1/2 hours is $90.00. If a longer session is desired, we can discuss this with a telephone call or personal meeting.
The photo collection will be posted in a folder on my web site for viewing and the purchase of photograph prints.
Photo sessions outside the city limits will be subject to an additional fee depending on the distance.
Clients may wish to purchase a CD of the digital images and perform their own printing. The fees for this service will be as follows: $290.00 following a 1 hour session, $390.00 following a 1-1/2 hour session. There will be no additional sitting fee with this package. The client is purchasing copyrights of all the images for unlimited printing.
Wedding Ceremonies: My photography method of documenting the wedding day is the "Photo Journalistic Style," and I also incorporate formal portraits. I want to capture the unique qualities of the couple's special day. Particular attention is given to the images during editing in the creation of artistic details. The fee for a digital image wedding starts at $600.00 for the wedding ceremony and the reception dinner. I realize that each wedding day is going to vary in length and individual requests. I recommend a personal meeting to discuss specific details of the day.
Once the client receives the CD of the wedding day, the images will be posted in a folder on my web site for a period of 60 days so that extended family members and friends can purchase photograph prints.

Photography has been a passion of mine for the past 35 years. Recently retiring from a career as an officer with the Carlsbad Police Department, I now am able to pursue my art career full-time. Therese, my wife, is often my assistant on my portraiture and wedding projects and a great source of support. I am currently a member of the Carlsbad Area Art Association and the Artist Gallery in Carlsbad, New Mexico. You will find my fine art photography of nature scenes, classical architecture with a special emphasis on churches, birds and still life subjects. My photography is displayed at the Artist Gallery, 120 South Canyon Street, Old Pecos Gallery, 102 West Fox and the Trinity Hotel gift shop 201 South Canal in Carlsbad, NM. I have been honored with a number of first place ribbons and “People’s Choice” awards and 2012 "Best In Show" at the CAAA shows over the years. This year I have the honor of being selected as the “Mayor’s Choice” and have 24 fine art photographs on display at the Carlsbad Museum & Art Center. When printing my images I use a variety of media from luster or metallic finish photo paper, to fine art papers with a fiber texture, fine art canvas wraps and printing on metal (aluminum).
